I'm thinking of trying out reaper or bitwig next when I have the funds. I don't know why it gets a bad rap for midi I find it's midi functionality really seemless and specific if not very ugly to be fair. Protools is the best DAW I've used but God damn is it hard to get into at first and my goodness does it really try its best to not work sometimes. Ableton has a terrible mixer but is by far the easiest to use.
I find Logic is too basic in its functionality for me but great for banging out songs quick. I work alot with Protools, Ableton, and Logic.
